The Effect of Job Satisfaction on Affective Commitment of Employees in Ministry of Sport and Youth
Abstract:   (8659 Views)
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of job satisfaction on the affective commitment of employees in Ministry of Sport and Youth. All employees of Ministry of Sport and Youth in 2015 comprised the statistical population (N=772). Random sampling method was used and finally 256 people were selected as sample. 256 employees were selected as the sample by simple random sampling method and they responded to Job Satisfaction Questionnaire by Hartlin and Ferrell (1996) and Affective Commitment Scale by Mowday et al. (1979). Confirmatory factor analysis of first order, factor analysis of second order and structural equation modeling as well as some indexes of goodness of fit were used to analyze the data. The results showed that job satisfaction had a direct and intensive effect on affective commitment (β=0.61), that is to say a unit of change in job satisfaction changed 0.61 unit in affective commitment. Thus, an increase in job satisfaction increased employees' emotional attachment to participate in the organization.
