Abstract:   (4485 Views)

The aim of this study was to compare perceived enjoyment of leisure time physical activity (LTPA) in different socioeconomic classes of the youth in Tehran city. The statistical population consisted of the youth aged between 15 and 24 in Tehran city. Sample consisted of 384 subjects based on Cochran's sample size formula and combinatorial sampling method. For data collection, Perceived Enjoyment of Leisure Time Physical Activity Questionnaire of Kendzierski and Carlo (1991) and Socioeconomic Status (SES) Questionnaire were used. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics (Leven, ANOVA, and Tukey tests) were used in SPSS software. Results showed a significant difference in perceived enjoyments of LTPA in subjects' different economic classes of family and also in perceived enjoyments of LTPA in subjects with different educational levels. According to the results, it seemed that those with better economic status could participate in more sport classes, spend more time on physical activities and enjoy more.
