Abstract

Performance measurement is the most important factor to recognize the current situation and a driving force to improve activities. The aim of this study was to measure performance in selected Iranian sport federations using data envelopment analysis by an approach to fuzzy systems. Data envelopment analysis is a powerful method to calculate system efficiency that allows organizations to compare their performance with other organizations and then to make better decisions. Also, fuzzy models are more effective due to an environmental uncertainty about human thinking and judgment. The statistical population consisted of 14 selected Iranian federations (as they were main sport fields and important and medalists). The data were collected by a researcher-made questionnaire (reliability coefficient=%81). Using the math model (suggested fuzzy-liner programming), the results showed that football, volleyball, wrestling, weightlifting, taekwondo, karate, boxing, track and field federations were efficient during 4 years (2011-2015) and basketball, shooting, gymnastics, wushu, judo and swimming federations were inefficient.

Abstract

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of perceived environment and social support on participation in leisure-time physical activity of staff in Islamic Azad University (district 13). The statistical population consisted of all male and female staff of Islamic Azad University of district 13 (N=2050). In order to collect data, the Participation in Leisure-Time Physical Activity Questionnaire confirmed by exploration, Robertson-Wilson et al. (2007) Perceived Environment Questionnaire, and Sallis et al. (1987) Social Support Scale were used. The reliability of the questionnaires was determined by Cronbach's alpha coefficient as 0.81, 0.78, and 0.86 respectively. In order to analyze the data, descriptive indicators, statistical tests of Kolmogorov-Smirnov and multivariate regression were used; to determine their construct validity, factor analysis and its effect, and structural equation test were used. The results indicated a positive and significant relationship between perceived environment and social support and between social support and physical activity. The results also showed that the social support variable had the ability to predict physical activity. Also, perceived environment and social support had no significant effect on physical activity.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to design the model of the antecedents and consequences of brand love in sports customers. The present study was a descriptive correlational study based on modeling structural equations. The statistical population of this study consisted of all the players (men and women) of the Iranian Basketball Premier League in 1398 (N=364). 146 people were selected as a statistical sample using G-Power software by the stratified random sampling Standard. To measure research variables the standard questionnaires of brand uniqueness, Perceived Value, Brand Prestige, Brand Love, Fashion Inclusion, the tendency to use hedonism, the tendency to buy instant fashion were used. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between perceived value, brand prestige and brand uniqueness with love for the brand of sports customers. There was a significant positive relationship between brand love and hedonistic consumption, fashion and instant purchase of sports customers. Also, there was a significant positive relationship between hedonistic consumption and fashion involvement with the immediate purchase of sports customers. Also, the GOF index was 0.463, indicating a strong fit. Therefore, it is suggested that managers of sports brands should develop all aspects of the brand in order to improve the perceived value among customers, and in order to create brand prestige among customers, managers should implement financial support programs for sport teams and reputable sports events.

Abstract

Attracting the students’ participation in university recreational sports, require a systematic model and plan. The aim of this study was to design a model of recreational sport activities for students of Islamic Azad University. This research has an applied orientation and is a mixed research in terms of data type, which had an exploratory aim in the qualitative part and a survey strategy in the quantitative part. The statistical population of the qualitative section consisted of managers and faculty members related to the research subject, 22 of whom were selected by purposive quota sampling method. The statistical population of the quantitative section consisted of 381 individuals who were the educational managers in different branches of Azad University. According to the condition of sufficient sample size for factor analysis, 200 of them were selected by stratified random sampling. The method of data collection in the quantitative section, were library-based research and semi-structured interviews up to the point of saturation in data collection, and at the quantitative stage a researcher-made questionnaire whose face validity was confirmed by experts. Delphi method was implemented for qualitative analysis of the research variables, and for data analysis, statistical methods of factorial analysis and confirmatory factorial analysis and the goodness of fit indices (Freedman) were used in SPSS and LISREL software. The results depicted that the research model has three behavioral, organizational and environmental levels with 12 components. The model also has a favorable fit. There was no significant difference between the mean ratings of model levels (P> 0.05, x2 = 5.891). The most important component of behavioral level was structural factors; organizational level, organization and environmental level, economic. This model indicates that student participation in the recreational sports at University is influenced by a wide range of areas that should be considered in the development of strategies and policies, relevant managers.

Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of developing and evaluating the substitution pattern of players in the basketball clubs of the Iranian Premier League. The method of the present study was mixed in terms of data collection method, which was implemented qualitatively and quantitatively. In the qualitative section, the statistical population included18basketball club managers, members of federation committees, players, coaches, and university faculty members. The sampling method in the qualitative section was purposeful and the snowball sampling technique was. Also in the quantitative part of the statistical population, all sports managers and experts, sports coaches, people with a history of professional basketball, faculty members and players of basketball clubs. The research tools included semi-structured interviews and a researcher-made questionnaire.Approach data theory method was used to analyze the data in the qualitative part(Glaser, 1978).In the quantitative part, the face and content validity of the research tool was confirmed by a group of experts and its construct validity was confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis based on structural equation model.SPSS and Amos software were used to analyze the data. The results of the coding showed that the development and evaluation of the substitution model of Iranian Premier League basketball players is based on various factors, so in order to provide a performance mechanism, it is necessary to:1)competency levels,2)requirements and3)desirable outcomes.Note.Considering these cases,a bright future can be imagined for the basketball clubs of the Iranian Premier League. The results of the quantitative section indicated that the factor loads of the questionnaires of the playerschr('39') replacement questionnaire are in a good condition.

Abstract

Scientific advances have affected all fields. The sports industry has to use new marketing methods to stay ahead of other industries. Therefore, this study was conducted to develop an e-marketing model in sports. The research method is descriptive-correlational and survey. The statistical population of the study included all managers, professors and experts familiar with e-commerce and sports marketing with at least 3 years of experimental or study experience of about 5,000 people. 384 people were selected as a sample by relative random sampling. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect information after confirming face validity, content validity, construct validity and reliability. After collecting the data, the data were analyzed using statistical software. Also, among the factors affecting Internet marketing in the company of development and maintenance of sports venues, the highest factor was related to legal and managerial factors. It can be said that not using new methods in sports marketing, especially Internet-based methods, will reduce the efficiency and productivity of sports companies and take away their competitive power.

Abstract

Abstract
The aim of this research was to identify factors affecting success of the basketball coaches. To conduct this qualitative research, which was exploratory in nature, the theory of Strauss and Corbin (1998) was used. The participants (n=28) in this study were all experts (coaches, national team players, basketball experts and executive officials) were selected through purposive sampling until reaching saturation of data. Analysis of the data involved three-phase coding, while the Evaluative Criteria of Lincoln and Guba (1985) consisting of `Credibility,’ `Transferability,’ `Dependability,’ and `Confirmability,’ was used for the reliability and generalization purposes. The initial coding of the research findings yielded 92 codes (concepts) with 302 frequencies. This is while, the axial coding presented 23 sub-categories and eventually five major categories (`The Leadership and Managerial Capabilities,’ `Personality Features,’ `Experience and Track Record of the Coach,’ and `The Cultural and Moral Features of the Coach’) emerged as a result of selective coding. Regarding the research findings, those interested in basketball coaching and the coaches, who wish to get promoted in the field, are suggested to care for personal growth and try to upgrade their capabilities and potential in the afore-mentioned areas. Furthermore, since coaching is a profession like teaching, which deals with educating and training individuals, the federations and even Ministry of Science, Research and Technology are suggested to set up scientific centers to deal with development of coaches, while putting specialized courses, being exclusive to any sports branches, in the educational syllabus; then introducing and referring those, who successfully pass the course, to municipality offices and related organs for practical courses and give them coaching certificates after graduation.
