Modeling the Relationship of Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence and Cognitive Intelligence in Physical Education Managers of Iran Universities

The aim of this study was to design a model of the relationship of emotional intelligence, social intelligence and cognitive intelligence in physical education managers of universities in Iran. The statistical population included physical education managers of state universities in Iran (N=90) and all of them were selected by census sampling method as the study sample. The Shrink Questionnaire of Emotional Intelligence, the Rayon Questionnaire of Cognitive Intelligence and the Silvera Questionnaire of Social Intelligence were used to achieve the study objectives. The validity of the three questionnaires was confirmed by 10 experts and their reliability was calculated in a pilot study with 30 subjects and Cronbach alpha (0.89, 0.91 and 0.90 respectively). The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics including K-S, one-sample t test and structural equation modeling with SPSS and AMOS software. Results showed a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and cognitive intelligence of physical education managers of universities. There was a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and social intelligence of physical education managers of universities. There was a significant relationship between cognitive and social intelligence of physical education managers of universities. There was a significant relationship between emotional and social intelligence and cognitive intelligence of physical education managers of universities. Also, the model of their relationship had a desirable fit.
